In this cost guide, I considered this 4 storied apartment block with 8 units a total built area of 7,624 sqft. Each unit features 2 bedrooms and one bath with 953 sqft. All have a great kitchen with large island, open to the dining and living room. The units contain 2 entry points from two central staircases, laundry room and covered balcony to enjoy views from all angles. This development will comfortably cover 60% of a 50ft x 100ft plot while leaving 40% of the space for landscaped gardens, parking and communal spaces.
Land acquisition
The price of land can vary greatly depending on the location. In prime areas of Kampala, a decent plot suitable for an apartment block may cost between UGX 100 million and UGX 500 million.
